A bit about me

I've been in the digital industry for 18 years and worked with clients from small boutique start-ups to global blue chip companies.  I have a keen interest in behavioural economics and social psychology which I use, along with user centric design principles to develop a deep understanding of the user's needs. When this is combined with the business objectives, technical capabilities and brand values, this creates both engaging and intuitive digital experiences.  I like to work collaboratively in an iterative process with strategy, creative and tech teams from the initial brief to the monitoring of the final delivery. Using rapid prototyping processes to bring ideation to life.

Current position

Barclays – Design Principle
I’m part of the central design leadership team that looks after a global team of eighty UX and designers with twelve direct reports. I work with the head of design, to develop the design department offering, within Barclays, educating key stakeholders about the UX process and practices. Working on a variety of projects from mobile apps, data visualisation to large B2B website.

Interests

I have a great passion for behavioural economics and social psychology. My main sporting hobby is mountain biking which I find both mentally and physically challenging. Other interests include rock climbing and snowboarding.
